About

Le Méridien & Element Salt Lake City Downtown

At Le Méridien and Element Salt Lake City Downtown, we welcome creativity and understand the desire to capture the beauty of your experience—whether it's our design-forward interiors, vibrant lobby spaces, or the panoramic views from Van Ryder rooftop. To ensure a comfortable and respectful environment for all guests, we kindly ask that all photography and content creation—personal or professional—adhere to the following guidelines:

Personal Photography: Guests are welcome to take casual, non-commercial photos during their stay. However, the use of professional equipment such as tripods, lighting kits, drones, or large props is not permitted in public areas—including hotel lobbies, restaurants, and Van Ryder rooftop—without prior written approval.

Professional Photography & Content Creation: All photoshoots or filming using professional equipment, or intended for commercial use—including but not limited to headshots, engagement shoots, fashion editorials, influencer collaborations, or promotional content—must be approved in advance. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to location fees, time constraints, or additional requirements.

Lobby, Restaurant & Public Spaces: Our hotel lobbies, lounges, restaurant, and other public areas are designed to be welcoming, stylish, and inspiring. Due to their popularity and shared use, any professional photography or content creation in these areas must be pre-approved and carefully coordinated with our team. Guests are asked to be mindful of others in shared spaces and avoid blocking walkways or disrupting the ambiance. Equipment setup without prior approval is not permitted.

Van Ryder Rooftop Access: Due to high guest volume and limited capacity, content creation at Van Ryder must be scheduled in advance and approved by hotel management. Walk-in shoots are not permitted. Access may be limited or denied during peak hours, private events, or at management's discretion.

Respect for Guests & Property: All content creation must be conducted respectfully and without disrupting hotel operations, guest privacy, or the overall guest experience. Failure to comply with this policy may result in removal from the property.

How to Request Approval: To request approval for photography or filming, please contact our team at sales_team@lemeridiensaltlake.com at least 5 business days in advance. Be sure to include the proposed date, time, purpose, and any equipment or crew involved
